Tuesday - August 26, 2008 - 2pm

Mel began to feel much worse, the proteins in her urine doubled again, and Maddie’s activity in the womb has drastically decreased. Mel’s condition is being classified as “severe pre-eclampsia” so they are prepping Mel for surgery and Maddie will be delivered today.

Tuesday - August 26, 2008 - 9:45am

So it looks like sometime on Wednesday, Aug 27th we are having a baby! Mel is feeling very sick and very tired right now. The magnesium sulfate they are giving her to prevent seizures is really taking its toll on her. She is out of the loop in terms of email and communication, so feel free to contact me if you have questions. She also would not mind hearing from people via phone, just let me know if you need the number.

Dearest Jamie, Mel, Jensen & Madilynn,
I love all 4 of you and the newest Meredith is just a beautiful little girl, Maddie. Welcome to the family who has love to go around and around. You are the 25th GreatGrand on the Grandpa Don & Grandma Vi Godwin side of the family. Everyone has been praying for all of you and will continue to do so. We can't hardly wait till your next vacation to meet the little one, but we will. We are praying that you will get the rest needed for the coming day when Maddie comes home. She is a beautiful baby.
